اردو یونیورسٹی کے لیے پروفیسر رحمت اللہ کی خدمات کی زبردست ستائش

شیخ الجامعہ مانو پروفیسر عین الحسن کا خطاب

پروفیسر ایس ایم رحمت اللہ کی نائب شیخ الجامعہ،مولانا آزاد نیشنل اردو یونیورسٹی کے باوقار عہدہ سے سبکدوشی کے موقع پر کل شام پروفیسر سید عین الحسن،شیخ الجامعہ کی زیرصدارت ایک پُراثر وداعی تقریب کا انعقاد عمل میں آیا۔انہوں نے 9 ستمبر 2021 کو نائب شیخ الجامعہ کے عہدہ کا جائزہ لیا تھا۔پروفیسر اشتیاق احمد رجسٹرار اور مختلف ڈینس،ڈائرکٹرس اور عہدیداروں نے شرکت کرتے ہوئے یونیورسٹی کے لیے پروفیسر رحمت اللہ کی مخلصانہ اور غیر معمولی خدمات کو بھرپور خراج پیش کیا۔شرکاءنے اپنے تاثرات میں پروفیسر رحمت اللہ کو نہایت منکسر المزاج، محنتی اور دیانتدار عہدیدار قرار دیا۔ جنہوں نے ادارہ کے لیے ابتدائی دنوں ہی سے ناقابل فراموش خدمات انجام دی ہیں۔ پروفیسر رحمت اللہ اگست کے اختتام پر وظیفہ حسن خدمت پر سبکدوش ہونے والے ہیں۔
شیخ الجامعہ پروفیسر عین الحسن نے پروفیسر رحمت اللہ کی شخصیت کو مانو کا ترجمان قرار دیا جنہیں دیکھ کر اور مل کر انہیں یونیورسٹی کی کیفیت کا اندازہ ہوا تھا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پروفیسر رحمت اللہ نے سب کو ساتھ لے کر چلنے کی اور ہر فیصلہ یونیورسٹی کے مفاد میں کرنے کی کوشش۔ ہر بڑے ادارے میں گروپ کی سیاست ہوتی ہے لیکن مولانا آزاد نیشنل اردو یونیورسٹی اس سے پاک ہے۔
پروفیسر ایس ایم رحمت اللہ نے اس تقریب سے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ”ابتداءمیں میرا تقرر 2007ءمیں بحیثیت پروفیسرنظم ونسق عامہ کے طور پر ہوا تھا۔اسی وقت میں شعبہ نظم و نسق عامہ و سیاسیات کا صدر بنا اور ڈین اسکول آف سوشیل آرٹس اینڈ سوشیل سائنسس مقرر کیا گیا۔ بعد میں اس فیکلٹی کے تحت 5 شعبے مزید جڑے۔میں جب رجسٹرار بنااسی دور میں یونیورسٹی نےمختلف شہروں میں 5 کالجس آف ٹیچر ایجوکیشن قائم کیے۔میرے وطن کڑپہ اور کٹک میں پالی ٹیکنیک قائم ہوئے۔اس کے علاوہ میری ہیڈ پروکیورمنٹ شپ کے دوران مانو نے اس وقت کی وزارتِ فروغ انسانی وسائل سےقبل حکومت ہند کےخریداری پورٹل گورنمنٹ الیکٹرانک مارکٹ پلیس (GeM) سے خریداری کا آغاز کردیا تھا۔ ان سب کامیابیوں کا حصول میرے رفقائے کار کے تعاون سے ممکن ہوسکا۔
“پروفیسر رحمت اللہ جو یونیورسٹی میں وائس چانسلر انچارج، پرو وائس چانسلر، رجسٹرار،ڈین،فینانس آفیسر،ہیڈ پروکیورمنٹ جیسے اہم عہدوں پر فائز رہے ہیں نے قرآن کی آیت کے حوالے سے کہا کہ اعلیٰ عہدوں پر فائز ہونا بھی اللہ کی آزمائش ہے۔میں نے محنت اور ایمانداری سے اپنے فرائض کی انجام دہی کی کوشش کی۔
پروفیسر اشتیاق احمد،رجسٹرار نے کہا کہ پروفیسر رحمت اللہ حرکیاتی قائد ہیں۔وہ محتاط ضروررہے ہیں لیکن بعض دفعہ انہوں نے موقع کی مناسبت سے آگے بڑھ کر بھی کام کیا۔
اس تقریب میں پروفیسر عبدالعظیم،پروفیسر صدیقی محمد محمود،پروفیسر عزیز بانو،پروفیسر فریدہ صدیقی،پروفیسر سلمان احمد خان، پروفیسر رضاءاللہ خان، پروفیسر شکیل احمد،پروفیسر بدیع الدین احمد،پروفیسر علیم اشرف جائسی،پروفیسر ونجا،پروفیسر سنیم فاطمہ،پروفیسر شاہدہ، پروفیسر مشتاق احمد آئی پٹیل، پروفیسراحتشام احمد خان،پروفیسرمحمد فریاد،پروفیسر تحسین بلگرامی،پروفیسر شگفتہ شاہین،ڈاکٹر پی ایس منور حسین،ڈاکٹر اختر پرویز،ڈاکٹرمحمد یوسف خان، جناب رضوان احمد اور ڈاکٹر وقار النساء نے بھی پروفیسر رحمت اللہ کی شخصیت اور کارکردگی کے تعلق سے اپنے تاثرات کا اظہار کیا۔

Prof. SM Rahmatullah’s services for MANUU lauded

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized a farewell in honour of outgoing Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. SM Rahmatullah who will be retiring as a Professor of Public Administration on August 31. He was appointed as Pro Vice-Chancellor on 9th September 2021. he rendered valuable services for the University in various capacities including Vice-Chancellor I/c and Registrar. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor presided over the programme held yesterday evening
Prof. S. K. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar along with Deans, Directors and officials attended the function and appreciated his sincere services to the University and described him a very humble, hardworking and honest official
Prof. Ainul Hasan described the personality of Prof. Rahmatullah as a mirror of MANUU, by seeing and meeting him in his initial days as Vice-Chancellor he tried to understand MANUU and it’s fraternity. While appreciating his services he said that Prof. Rahmatullah tried to take every decision in the interest of the University
Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah, the senior most Professor, who has held the positions of Dean, Registrar, Vice-Chancellor I/c, Finance Officer, Head Procurement in his 15 year long association with the University while addressing the gathering said all his achievements were possible with the support of his colleagues only. Initially I was appointed as a Professor, Department of Public Administration & Political Science, and at the same time I became Department Head as well as Dean, School of Social Arts & Social Sciences. Later on five more departments were established under the school. MANUU established five Colleges of Teacher Education in different cities when I was Registrar of MANUU. Polytechnic colleges were also established in Cuttack and Kadapa, his native place. Also MANUU initiated procurement through GoI’s GeM portal when I was assigned duty as Head, Procurement, he recalled
